WHEEL SERVICES

  • Wheel True (Basic) - $20

Rider weight gradually shifts spoke tension, causing subtle rim deflections.
Catch it early, and it’s an easy fix. Maintain it well, and that wheel can last for decades.

    SERVICE INCLUDES:
    - Correction of lateral deflection in the rim

    Service Time: 15-20 min

  • Wheel True (Major) - $45

Sometimes wheels need serious attention—especially after a crash or impact.
If your wheel is out of round, has loose spokes, or up to three broken ones, our Major Wheel True service will get it back on track.

    SERVICE INCLUDES:
    - Correction of lateral deflections
    - Correction of radial deflections
    - Balancing of Spoke tension
    - Labor to replace up to 3 broken spokes

    Service time: 35-45 min

  • Wheel Build (Standard) - $125

Hand-built wheels give the mechanic full control to dial in every detail.
This process allows materials to settle gradually under tension, reducing stress on the spokes, nipples, and rim—extending both performance and lifespan.

    SERVICE INCLUDES:
    - Disassembly of existing wheel (if needed)
    - Calculation of correct spoke length.
    - Lacing of hubs & spokes to the rim.
    - Adjustment of the lateral true, radial true, & dishing.

    Service Time: 1 hr - 1 hr 30 min

Covers Radial, 2x, 3x and 4x lacing patterns.

  • Wheel Build (Non-Traditional) - $100 / hr

Non-traditional spoke lacing patterns can offer advantages—like reduced weight, improved aerodynamics, and increased stiffness. But they also come with trade-offs: higher stress on hubs, greater risk of spoke failure, and added complexity during building and repair.

Because of these factors, this service is billed hourly at our current shop rate.

    SERVICE INCLUDES:
    - Disassembly of existing wheel (if needed)
    - Calculation of correct spoke length.
    - Lacing of hubs & spokes to the rim.
    - Adjustment of the lateral true, radial true, & dishing.

    Service Time: Varies

Covers mixed lacing patterns, crows foot, twisted, Fulcrum and Specialized designs, and wooden rims.

Why Wheel Maintenance Matters

Your wheels are the foundation of every ride. Keeping them properly tensioned and true ensures:

  • Safety – Even spoke tension prevents failure and keeps your ride stable.

  • Performance – A true wheel rolls faster, corners better, and brakes cleaner.

  • Durability – Regular maintenance extends the life of your rims, spokes, and hubs.

  • Cost Savings – Catching issues early prevents expensive repairs later.

Whether you’re racing or cruising, well-maintained wheels keep you rolling smooth and fast.
